We went to his nursing home room to get his clothes because we were told by his doctor that he was too ill to be returning to the nursing home. At one point they ran out of his drugs in the evening and they had to go out and get more while he waited…and waited. His physical therapy time was often cut short because he did not have the opportunity to use the bathroom beforehand. At the time he left, he had severe edema in both legs along with a rash that ran from his rectum onto his scrotum. I don’t believe these issues were ever addressed.
There was one caregiver I really like, but I thought things were very business-like and kind of cold. It is a beautiful place when you went into it. The physical therapy staff was outstanding, but I think they were trying to deal with too many people. I wish they could have divided people better to those who were more mentally alert as compared to other people.
